Tired of being fat and sexless/need a new atypical Antipsychotic for Christmas

Anyone know if there’s been any progress on the development of antipsychotics lately? Haven’t seen any promising news articles in a while.

Nice thread title

I want to try out Vraylar or Rexulti for energy but its probably ganna be a battle to get my insurance to cover either of them.

Also I either want to lose 20 pounds or be in absolutely shape working out but both seem like unrealistic right now :frowning:

Thanks. It’s a song I just wrote. I have it playing in my head sometimes(every time I notice that I too have gained 20 lbs) and I’m only on 40mg of latuda.
We really need better drugs to come out soon. It’s insane that they allow people to take these meds in spite of all the negative effects they’ve been proven to have. Just think, shrunken brain.
Nuff said

I think they should too @Stillwaters. Maybe someday soon, who knows!

I tried vraylar, I didn’t like it. Too artificial feeling and very strong side effects. Rexulti I’m not too sure about. Do they not have them where you’re from?

Aw did you find vraylar stimulating / energizing at least?

They do have it here, but my pdoc doesn’t want to put me on it just yet, he thinks its too new and experimental. I’ll mention it again to him the next time I see him. I’m on Abilify now. I enjoy abilify except I feel non-energetic on it. Also concentration issues :stuck_out_tongue:

Well I used to be a runner. Like as in 5ks and stuff and I didn’t feel much like running on vraylar. That’s physical though as for mentally stimulating maybe good in the negative symptoms department and I noticed clearer thinking, but I was still dragging ass on vraylar

I’m skinny but with meds I have to hardly eat, always hungry

aw dang, thanks for the insight maybe vraylar isn’t what its cracked out to be

No problem
Unless you really don’t like what you’re taking I wouldn’t reccomend it. But who knows it might work wonders for you

welp man… enjoy your sexlessness… it’s a treasure in certain light. The best people I know are sexless.

I’m semi-sexless and semi-medless…

it’s all just medication. Even sex… a form of self medicating… the pain of the boredom of the existence in a time of human dis-empowerment where every day winds up feeling the same unless you making the gains to move.

Yea @azley you’re right it can be liberating. Not having to put up with the mindless bs that goes along with dating. Tough for a guy that used to be a romantic though, but hey, life works in mysterious ways. Maybe I’m being punished for my younger years of womanizing and drugging profusely. When your sober though a little self medicating with sex isn’t so bad, it’s most people’s "go too"
Not mine I guess, not since Latuda entered my life. I guess a healthy dose of cyber porn and cialis is in order. Hey there are worse things in life… Could be paralyzed.

Hah! welp get it buddy.

Don’t pay for porn. that’s an evil industry… but taking advantage of what’s free… I got no guilt for you on that!

You know the truth, I could actually get laid pretty easily. It’s just that it ain’t the same man, it just doesn’t feel the same being on a hardcore tranquilizer. I would rather save both her and me the trouble and the frustration of knowing that I’m missing out by just not opening that door in the first place.

This is kind of like sex to me:

you know… just like sex… I cried at the end… hah

I like your title by the way. Absynthe. It’s inly legal in certain states and Colorado is one of them. I used to live there and I used to drink absynthe from time to time.

In Connecticut, moonshine is illegal. When I first turned 21, the liquor stores were closed on Sunday by law. And 8 pm used to be the latest they could stay open! Despite that, tons of alcoholics… Now Washington, different story, still a ton of alcoholics.

Well, here’s some light reading for you. Hopefully this doesn’t bring tears to your eyes. :nerd:
