Prevalence and risk factors for HIV, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C in people with severe mental illness: a total population study of Sweden

Only the rich get credit…

I am not sure what you are trying to say.

I want to say that when you have one health problem it opens the door to other problems like infections, addictions or cardio-vascular disease. It’s sad

Firemonkey, is skin disease a result of stress and an early symptom of mental disorder? Any research paper on it?

Hmm I also had a skin rash that didn’t disappear for almost a year, despite various treatments. That happened about 7 years prior to illness onset. I don’t think there was a correlation but who knows?

Mine happened about 2 years prior to diagnosis of Schizophrenia.

Yes, the possibility cannot be ruled out.

Not sure if it’s an early symptom but.

Thank you Firemonkey for the reference.

CONCLUSIONS:
The prevalence of skin diseases is high in patients with schizophrenia, for whom proper skin care is necessary to improve their life quality.

Higher genetic risk doesn’t necessarily mean you have psoriasis.

Agreed, but I have a patch on my chest that is likely due to psoriasis,
