Yeah, the clozapine treats my psych symptoms wonderfully but has given me tachycardia, long QTc syndrome, and the inability to take a crap without a laxative. It also makes me sleep a ton…

I’m 20 pounds heavier on Zyprexa. I’m only on 5mg. When I was on 20 the risk of weight gain was much worse and I got up to 230 at my heaviest. Currently 210, was 190 before Zyprexa. Not bad compared to most other people who take it.

How high of a dosage are you on?

I’m gaining tons of weight since starting Zyprexa several months ago. It’s causing me lots of physical issues but it really helps me mentally

Works great mentally for me it really does. Less brain fog than risperdal and I put on more weight with it because my negatives were bad too. Still. Lost weight on zyprexa but it gets complicated really quick.

If it’s working mentally look into diet and exercise. Exercise works so far and diet does too.

I’m doing keto now to a certain extent and it works for the weight loss. Not sure of the long term implications of the diet but you’ve got to start somewhere…

So. You need to lose weight and get active? That is where I’d start and I started with a cheap fitness tracker and a goal of 10, 000 steps a day as that seems reasonable for pushing yourself and getting heart rate work in enough.

I’m on 7.5mg. Excersise is key. Get out walking minimum 30minutes a day, that should help move your bowels as well.
Try training some strenght a couple of times a week too.

Supplementing a little can be a good idea. Fish oil, B vitamin complex, vitamin D and magnesium are the first things I would recommend.

Also try to get fruit and/or veggies daily. It makes a difference.
