If you could either live in a town, surrounded by people or a remote village, surrounded by peace where would you go?
Remote village, without a doubt!
I live in a remote village.
Is it good to be away from it all?
Yes it is great. My neighbours are sheep!
Remote Village, I’m a loner all the way
my dream home would be a warm room with wifi, fridge, microwave.
I lived in an assisted living center that was out in the country for a couple of years. The regular people out there had their own forms of recreation and relaxation. They hunted a lot. They also liked to go four wheeling. They went swimming in the Baron Fork River often during the summer. There are probably more things to do in the city, but there are a lot of problems in the city, like traffic, and crime. At first I didn’t like living in the country, but I started to like it.
One room apartment would suit me fine, if retired I would not need much
It is very important for me to isolate myself, I would like to separate myself from society,
I am a loner, I don’t want any interaction with people.
Apart from a well equipped health club I need nothing.
I am a modest man, I don’t particularly like money, let me live quietly isolated from society( even in a 1 room apartment)
so that I don’t have to work, and I will be happy.
I live in the country now, and it makes me crazy. I would definitely choose to live in a town surrounded by people. Mr. Star likes solitude. We will never find a home that both of us love.
I’m a very social person so I would prefer living in a town
I moved to a small mountain town a little over three years ago and it’s good for me to have trees all around and fewer people, but it’s hard to have fewer resources. I need to be in therapy again but the closest place is a congested drive on the freeway away (about 45 minutes). And most of my family, including my dad, is almost two hours away. So, while I would always choose to be away from people, there are drawbacks to living away from civilization…
Israel is good, why you feel like that?
I am a loner but funny enough I like living in a town better than a remote area. I like walking in public and being around people I feel safer that way but I don’t like social functions much. Socialising is hard, not so much being around strangers in public. I like people from a distance.
@anon68148378 it was influenced by a stupid newspaper article I saw.
I guess I overreacted.
I would love to live in a wooden house in the forest
