You ever feel so depressed that you can’t get out of it

I don’t know what’s been up with me the last 2 days but I’ve just been really down and angry. Like I tried to socialize but literally no one answered there phone or even bothered to call back! I’ve been listening to music watching my favorite tv show and tried doing some art and nothing is working. Like I allowed myself to feel it yesterday but today I said I was just not going to allow myself to stay in bed all day. But seems that whatever I do I’m not satisfied.

Many years ago, I spiraled down into a suicidal abyss so deep I thought I’d never climb out of it.

I don’t feel suicidal but I do feel like relapsing on drugs. It’s just been very difficult

The worst day clean is better than the best day high. Sometimes we have an off day or two. Before you start using again, lean on your support system, whatever you have (family, friends, pdoc, case worker, whatever).

@Longhorn21 Get a job dude. You’ll be able to socialize with your co-workers. However, when it comes to a particular woman, it gets more difficult.

I had my worst depression as a child.

I felt hopeless.
Like there was no hope and no hoes and dreams.
Nothing to look forward to etc.
I had overwhelming apathy and depression.

I also had depression as a teen when I was bullied and then later as a adult when I was unable to laugh for years.

Hope you feel better soon.

“The worst day clean is better than the best day high” wow that just spoke load to me! I’ve been clean for almost 4 years now so I really don’t have much of a support system since I left AA

I’m actually in the processes of getting a job in the mental health field

That’s awesome dude but like you said, “in process of getting a job”. There a big difference when you are applying for jobs and when you are actually working.

Congratulations on 4 years, that is significent time. Keep chugging along, you’ll be okay. Don’t let your mind become a runaway train.
