Come out to the Wapsi to dispel the myths and legends of bats! We will have several opportunities and activities throughout the evening (weather - dependent) on June 13th. Registration is Required.
Activities:
6 - 7p ~ Cook your own dinner with hotdogs and fixings provided by Friends of the Wapsi. Please bring your own drinks.
7 - 8p ~ Build a Bat House. $10 / house. Limited number of kits available MUST pre-register. If you are not building a bat house, feel free to tour the Eagle View Eco Center! Tour is free! Campfire will remain available for S’mores!
8 - 8:45p ~ Learn about native bats, including ID, Basic biology and habitat.
8:45 (or dusk) ~ Take a hike around our campus as the bats are emerging to forage! Those feeling adventurous are welcome to stay into twilight for more exploration!
