I had cancelled my trip to Texas in order to use the money to help my daughter on her trip to Italy for the summer. My uncle (whom I NEVER hear from) called out of the blue and is paying for my plane, car, and hotel in Texas and is also sending some money to my daughter for Italy. Wow! I am amazed and so excited!!!

That was very nice of your uncle! I had my uncle help me out and pay for plane fair to help a friend move.
Wasn’t my most cherished time but my actions helped my friend who was stuck in a dark place move on and eventually have a nicer life.

He said he was going to call me back after lunch regarding a hotel, but he never called. He probably had something come up- he is a busy man. Should I call him tomorrow? If not, how long should I wait? I hope he calls me so I’m not in that situation.

Sounds really exciting. I was stranded in Texas at age 12 for three days on a layover in 1996 when we had a big blizzard in my home in northern Virginia. We saw a dracula movie with Leslie Nielsen in it while we were there. Also, I remember they hang the traffic lights horizontally there rather than vertically. I think we were in Houston. I hope you have a fantastic trip!
