Would You Say This To a Woman When Asking Her Out On A Date?

Would you like to take me out on a date? I can’t drive.

“I dont have a license”.

Sounds more friendly, imo.

I dont drive either, so i usually meet my dates at the places i pick or they pick. Then i take transit or walk.

But you can try and see if she will if you want. She might shut it down though.

Ask her on a date and then casually mention you don’t have a license and see if she wants to meet you there or pick you up.

Phil didn’t have a license when I met him, but we didn’t have a date,

I picked him up at a motel in Clinton, Iowa, brought him back to my house

and he never left.:face_with_raised_eyebrow:

 I guess it depends on women.

You could maybe say, “I’d love to go on a date with you but I don’t have a car.” It just sounds nicer. If she’s doesn’t say no than of course she knows that she’s driving.

But when you say you can’t drive are you inviting her to ask questions that you may have a hard time answering? Just my thoughts.

I’d just be trying to explain why I’m asking her to drive and that if things moved on beyond just one date why that would continue. I can’t say the car’s in the shop, or I don’t have a driver’s license without her figuring that out and knowing that I started the relationship with a lie.

Very true. Anyways I hope you have a good time if it works out. Cheers!
