I guess you can be both. You must value one more than the other though. I’m lacking in a few areas so I guess I don’t have much to offer so I’m trying to be nice. Thanks for voting.

I would rather make good points. No one thinks I’m nice even when I’m being nice anyways, so I guess I’m used to not being the nice one already.

I’ve given up making really good points in real life as I’ve never managed to change anybody’s mind. On anything. Ever.

Being a nice person gets you further in life than making really good points.

Making good points is like driving a flashy car with GPS over a really old one with crappy foldable maps.

Being nice to others is like driving a car that smells of waffles and makes everyone happy, including yourself, turns CO2 into oxygen, and produces energy instead of consuming it.

Car #2 is superior to car #1. Car #1 is still good, though. At least you won’t have to drive that crappy one with the foldable maps, no AC, and manual window cranks.

I wasn’t always the nicest person, so I don’t have it down really. I think people appreciate the effort. Yeah @rogueone is a really nice guy and I didn’t want to take anything away from him.

I agree with @anon9798425 ! It’s not that harder to be nice. Most time these days I don’t even bite if people have a go. It’s just better for all of us to show some respect! We all do stupid stuff in life but you can always change that!

Thanks for the shoutout! It’s always good to contribute to the community. That is more important for me! Ego comes last these days!

Well, my family reminds me I’m a good person. When she was alive my mom often reminded me that I’m a nice, intelligent person. So I figure they’re right and people at work treat me like I’m a nice person. So it makes me feel good and I must be doing something right.

i like a mixture…its all about context and timing. sometimes you should absolutely make a good point, but other times its appropriate to hush and be nice

I tried to be both, but if you have to pick up one as priority, I will choose making really good points. To speak the truth requires not only intelligence but also courage.
