I don’t like having the option to choose my clothes. It’s hard enough to find clothes that fit. In the Navy I wasn’t the most squared away person, but I liked that everyone was dressed the same. Then you get to wear your rank on your collar for the merit that you earned. I miss those times.
My future job, the one I’m training for, requires a multi-option uniform.
I like the idea of people being able to tell I work there, and me not needing to worry if my outfit is appropriate.
Uniforms are mandatory in elementary, middle and high schools in Hong Kong meaning everyone under 18 is required to wear a uniform attire. Places like Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and majority of Southeast Asian nation also have uniforms which are mandatory for school aged children.
I was in the Air Force for two years and I liked wearing my nursing uniform dress every day. I wore the same dresses when I went into civilian nursing. They were acceptable there too. Took the guesswork out of dressing everyday. But, I do like wearing everyday clothes.
