City life is becoming too fast paced. My symptoms flare up when I see people in a rush. :running: :running:
Even today at 7-11 a woman shouted at the cashier saying “come on lady, I do not have all day. The boss is expecting me back at work in three minutes”.
Would you live out in the boondocks to avoid :running: the craziness of the city?
I would imagine that living in the country comes with its own problems, like isolation, loneliness etc… I think that living in the suburbs could be the way to go for a person living with a mental illness - but there are many people who like urban and rural areas
You might have to give up some conveniences. Like running to the store or 7-11, laundromats, restaurants, etc. Depends how isolated you would want to be.
I do, and you can always drive to stores and laundry and all that.
City for me is pure madness. I lived there before and couldn’t stand it. The traffic alone can drive one insane. Throw in the sirens and honking at 2 am, occasional bustin caps, cars with bass speakers creating a mini earthquake, and you have a recipe for psychosis.
Might prevent the disorder in the first place. Less to be paranoid about. I think I’m beginning to like the term integration disorder. If I wasn’t a different kind of person I probably wouldn’t be skitz. I know that doesn’t apply to everybody.
