I was suffering from insomnia even with meds half a year ago, then I started to find solution online and read that melatonin is the best available supplement to try to regulate your sleep. So I bought a bottle and to be fair,it works very well in combination with my meds.I sleep very well and deep even though I can sleep up to 10 hrs a day to wake up naturally.Yesterday,I didn’t take my melatonin and to my surprise I stayed up late until 6am in the morning which means insomnia returning. If I took my meds,I could fall asleep at 12am or sometimes 1am which I feel is alright.I just wanted to share my though and I think even if I had to take melatonin for the rest of my life I can deal with it since I get the benefit of falling into sleep easier which negate the suffering I get from insomnia of not falling to sleep all midnight
I just had a psychiatrist prescribe me melatonin to take every night and I have been doing that. There was just a melatonin thread and it sounded like some doctors say not to take it every night. I want to ask another psychiatrist what they think about taking it every night yet. I didn’t take mine one night and I ended up taking a trazodone to sleep instead.
