Worried about the day I'll die. Need advice

I’m 31 y.o but I’m sometimes worrying if I’ll suffer the day I’ll die. I hope not. How can I get this thought out of my head? I saw a scene with a guy laying on his death bed in a television series and it triggered the thought.

For me it helps to pray to a higher power. Then I am more at peace with death.

When I first got sick I’d fear dying in my sleep each night going to bed. I dwelt on death a long time and got over it. Sure, I fear death but it’s gotten a lot better. I might have cancer right now, prostrate cancer runs in my family and I’m 53 this month.

I’m 64, and the prospect of approaching death is growing in me. When I think about dying I think about whether or not I have lived a good life. There are things in my favor in that regard, but there are also things against it.

I more-so worry about not having lived a great life before i die. And wether or not I’ll be remembered in a good light by some people still alive.
But im confident that there is some kind of existence after physical death. Which is exciting.

If you’re in pain, they give you pain meds like morfine. If you suffer it probably won’t be long and it’s a part of life so hard to avoid.

How often do you think of death? I was told;
When you’re 60, you think about it every month.
When you’re 70, you think about it every week
When you’re 80, you think about it every day.
When you’re 90, you think about it all of the time.
This is considered normal.

I can’t extensively talk about religion here.

Let’s talk a little about Einstein, humanistic psychology, and a beam of electromagnetic waves propagating across the universe after death!

I have a rare genetic disease. I worry about death a lot. I just decided to let my disease run its course so that I can achieve stuff in the meantime.

This thought is comforting to me.
I look forward to seeing all those that perished before me, including my beloved Mom.
Yes, I’m a big believer in life after death

The first post was not an invitation to discuss religion or those beliefs.
