I had to write off my stepdad completely because he’s constantly going on about how the “global currency reset” is coming and some stack of vietnamese currency he bought for pennies will suddenly be worth millions. It’s like, I’m the one on medication for a serious mental illness, and I’m comparatively normal. I don’t believe any of that garbage.
My unmedicated sz brother is living with him and I don’t think it’s healthy for someone without a stable mind to be living with a conspiracy theorist. It can’t be good for his sense of reality.
I don’t think we could talk him out of them if we wanted though. He slid into this crap so slowly. I hate how normalized belief in conspiracy theories has become in the last 10 years especially in the United States.

Aw that sucks @agent101g ! Sorry to hear your stepdaughter is doing badly and your brother influenced by it.
I believe there are things outside of mainstream culture that are wise, but this new wave on conspiracy theorists, I don’t know how any one with half a brain can believe it!
