Even working two days a wekk mkaes me incredibly exhausted and sleep heavy.Coffee is my best friend these days. Anyone else here work or trying to?
I started working one day a week in December, after taking six months off work. It made me incredibly exhausted afterwards. I even almost quit, because it was so hard. Now, I’ve been doing it long enough that it’s gotten easier.
I’m not working, but I try to draw. I want to be an animator (as matter of fact, I was an animator) and I can draw for an hour each day. It doesn’t suck and I don’t get exhausted (just some pain on my back).
I work 5-6 days/week, two part-time jobs. Neither one is physical labor, so they don’t wear me down physically, but they tax the hell out of me mentally. I’ve always worked, though, other than the year I was in med school (no time for a job) and a couple periods of unemployment (two months each) when I was terminated from two jobs in 2008.
I work on my feet for about 6 hours every different day that I work.It is very physically demading ut I think I’ll start getting used to it. Im already adjusted to the work schedule, its just hard sometimes I think the meds make it more exhausting as well im on 5 of them.
That sounds fun and awesome, I actually do a bit of art (painting) myself. I love it as well but back pain can occur
Yes, but I want to increase my drawing skills. Studying by myself is difficult. When I start college, I will try to pick a discipline about drawing (I have finished this discipline, but I’ll study again).
Studying is difficult when your just trying it on your own.
Yes. I need a mentor. I’d love to have one right now, but I’ll wait for the college classes.
Yeah thatd be cool
I wish i could work but i’m applying for social security and i don’t even want to.
Mentally it can be draining but it does get better.
I envy you. The only work I do is going to the gym. And some chores around the house. I wish I had the confidence to get a job.
First day back after doing little last week, tired and sore and the week of work is just starting
Work makes me incredibly exhausted too. I have a two hour a week max.
I work on recovery- and self care - and learning my limitations - aND managing symptoms… it’s FULL time job. Oh and having childten to mother, and love. Also wife and friend and I’m a daughter. Busy lots of faking smiles. Sometimes laundry or emptying the dishwasher. Woah, thinking is overwhelming.
Nope no paid work for me.
That is my dream goal… to get to the gym regularly some day. That’s awesome. Congrats
I’m 55 and I have been at my janitor job for 5 years now. I am one tired schizophrenic.
I am working at a full time job. I’m getting better every year. The job is too easy for me and I think I can work in a more demanding job.
You should have confidence in your self! I know its difficult though trust me, I only srarted worjking a month ago and its really challeneging with this illness. People there think im weird and my speech and thinking gets disturbed
