Focusing on the have not… doesn’t make for a happy time…

That’s closely related to the Buddhist philosophy. It’s good to strive for having what you crave in your life, 1 for a challenge, and 2 to satisfy your desires. But if you dwell on it it can undermine your happiness, that’s definitely true.
