not this year. im going to be in bed by 10pm. it used to be my favorite holiday, going bar hopping, kissing a pretty girl as the ball drops, sleeping on a friends couch and going to waffle house in the morning. but I guess it’s over for me. there are more important things than going out and getting plastered.

I can’t even watch the festivities since the crowd noises make me hallucinate. Maybe that will change when I take a month of Amyloban 3399, since it can possibly stop positive symptoms by inducing nerve growth in the brain, according to some studies.

I just quit this year. 2018 was the year i’ll look back on.
funny thing is I lost some hair and I don’t even get carded anymore but I think im done for good. I feel so much better health wise now that I’ve quit drinking. just haven’t figured out how to deal with the boredom yet.
even the sports ballgames I used to watch are on too late so that’s another void in my life.
I did basically the same thing last year. I was so detached from the world and people that Christmas day, along with new year’s day, flew right by with me without me even noticing them.

I normally do a live show online every NYE. I’m actually cheating and voice tracking it ahead of time this year. It will sound live, but won’t be. I’ll be upstairs playing Cards Against Humanity with friends while the automation system impersonates me downstairs.

I go to bed early and have for years. Sometimes I’ll get woken up by someone letting off illegal fireworks or noise from a party of yokels but most time I sleep through unawares!
New Years morning is always a nice time. No one else is up and it’s nice and quiet. Usually go for a walk early!

I get it. I have not celebrated New Years for a long time.
I don’t think it’s much fun just getting drunk in a bar that charges you extortionate rates to get in.

Yeah i won’t be staying up for the fireworks either. I’ve seen enough of them. Plus the hosts on the tv leading up to the Sydney fireworks are usually vacuous and not funny, although they try so hard to be.
I’ll be in Seattle this year for New Year’s Eve on a short vacation.
