A comment of @anon31257746 made me think of a rather pessimistic thought. That to turn things around and get better in schizophrenia it seems that we have to follow such a tragic path. That we need to sit out the ride to the bottom before things get better. And then, there at the bottom, many of us sooner or later have turned things around. That step that turns things around… that can mean many things. One of them that it is not the world but that it is us… it seems one really has to run out of options before it becomes possible. And for some it remains impossible, sadly. It’s a remarkable achievement when successfull though. Like Copernicus’ (or Kant’s) revolution in science. Everyone here that has turned things around like that can rightly feel really good about themselves for it. In so many ways, that’s just awesome. I think it implies some admirable character traits. (and this does not mean that not having done so implies a weak character - get your logic straight.)
