Why would my psychiatrist say he would be delighted to see me back at the outpatient clinic again (I am being discharged)?

He probably meant that he’s still there to help. That you can call them for help if things don’t work out. Which you should.

I have gone to the outpatient program in recent years when I didn’t even need it!! It is very helpful!! I hope you see that it is too!!
