A breakdown of schizophrenia may be a way to make changes in the existential system. Perhaps some things cannot be changed with the usual methods so the system has to be cracked and then repaired. There may be some reality which is higher up, like in the air. Then the spirits need to work below that and establish a grounding. So we at the bottom (sz) have to take time being sick while the ground is being re-established.
When you understand the reasons behind your suffering it makes it a little easier.

Getting schizophrenia could be like something a person does is like an Oedipus complex.
I wish it were, but in my experience I doubt it.
