Why not all ppl on antipsychotics get negative symptoms?

Why does it matter if I still had the same negative symptoms without meds? I take 4mg Risperdal.

On Abilify I had less negative symptoms than without meds.

I am going to be a little cryptic. I am Mateo and don’t have any human rights. They jab me with whatever they like.

I am officially on paliperidone 3 monthly depot, but they give me risperidone jabs too while I am ‘under’

Sure I am for real. I get a 350mg every three months and I don’t know what the risperidone is.

When the risperidone marks get infected on my butt I know for sure that I have been jabbed,

Also, i get leg cramps on risperidone, so I know I am on it.

I didn’t flag you btw.

I have never met or heard of someone who does not get negative symptoms on aps. if they are suddenly eating more or drinking more caffeine and claim to be negative symptom free then id like to see what they would feel like without the overeating and caffeine

I’m on a low dose of Latuda and I have no negative symptoms from it. @anon51377248

don’t you struggle with concentration or anhedonia or something like that? or was it like that before too

I can start naming users here but thats bad.

I don’t know about the anhedonia because it arrived 1 year and a half after I started the meds, but or the rest it was even a bit worse off meds.

I had the same negative symptoms without meds. Aren’t you on just 2mg Abilify which is like no meds and you have negative symptoms?

I know its easier to blame it on meds than saying its the disease because thats more shocking.

I am on 2.5mg abilify atm. My negative symptoms are reducing now  but they are not all gone and especially being around people i still feel this specific disconnectivity thing that I have never experienced off aps. although i did used to have other forms of anxiety b4 aps

and when i try to prepare for my interviews i find it difficult idk if that is due to lack of concentration or due to feeling too pressured

basically i still feel this disconnectivity from everything. there used to be some different feeling i had but it is not there. like my brain could breathe better

In relation to antipsychotic effects it is like being off meds but you can still have side effects, I had low blood pressure on 25mg quetiapine.

What did change? What improved? Are you able to work etc? I don’t think they will ever be gone as its impossible to become like before the 1st psychosis. At least from my experience.

I had that off meds too, pretty sure its from negative symptoms.

well they say it is officially sub therapeutic but perhaps it is doing something for me because i have not relapsed yet. in 2018 i did relapse (tried going off meds). but this year i have not yet relapsed on 2.5 mg

I know everyone is different but on Abilify I had less negative symptoms than without meds. I was able to hangout with many friends and go to the gym daily. I also got my university degree while on 20mg Abilify and had short time jobs.

no i think it varies for people. when i tried coming off meds in 2018 i started to feel better and then a few weeks after going back on meds wen i relapsed i started to struggle again

Certainly not like before my 1st psychosis but better than now. Before my 1st psychosis I held jobs for over 3 years, had a gf, etc
