Why is it that

Online I found here and one other community, and people are nice, supportive and want to talk.

IRL, I have no one like this apart from family. Where did all the good people go where I live?

How do you find them?

What am I doing wrong?

Why have things become so isolated?

It’s always been like that for me ever since I was first allowed on the internet as a young preteen/teen. I find online communities like this to be much more socially stimulating and full of much kinder, more empathetic people.

Does that mean we’re a utopia that cannot be replicated in the real world?

I can’t believe that the good people are separated by so much geography that they can only find each other online.

So frustrating that real life can’t be more like how we interact here

The illness by nature is very isolating . Most of my friends have moved on starting their own family or progressing in career.

Forging new relationships takes competence and effort. Unfortunately, sz is a social inhibiting disease. I’ve made a few friends at work; I see them enough that they consider me a good teammate.

There are so many a- holes out there so good people learn to mind their own business.
