Why do people hate me?

There this guy at work who hates me and I don’t know why. All I’ve done is smile and greet him. Maybe he heard something bad about me or can read my intrusive thoughts. How can I make him like me. Should I try to be super nice to him or ask him what’s the matter? He treats me like I’ve got the plague. I think I should forget about him and not worry about it.

Forget haters, not worth wasting energy on them

You’re probably reading too much into body language again. I bet he doesn’t hate you at all.

Before a series of anxiety and panic attacks everyone pretty much liked me. But since feeling like people can see and hear my intrusive it’s been going from bad to worse. Have people yelling at me and giving nasty looks.

Honestly I also get a sense that a lot of people have a negative view of me.

I really am some kind of magnet for psychopaths also.

I think that it has to do with the fact that I am socially awkward, sometimes almost Autistic like.

I don’t usually smile so much and sometimes I make poor eye contact.

I also really am not much of a conversationalist.

Why thanks @see121

Some people are so weak in spirit that they are just holding on themselves. Maybe he sees something in you that he sees in himself and doesn’t know how to behave.

Never thought of it that way, they hate what they see in themselves. Thanks

I had a similar problem at a job once. Truth is you may never know what that persons problem is. He may be feeling inferior for some unbeknownst reason. And senses that you’re insecure or struggling with something. He’s no better than you and just remind yourself that you’re not there to make friends you’re there for work

Reason with him,if that fails?

I discovered at a young age that there are certain assholes in this world who will pick someone out to bully and harass just on a whim. Mountainman is right. They’re not worth wasting your time on. Unfortunately, they can be persistent in their bullying. You might calmly mention to a person in a position of authority that this person is making life difficult for you. That might not help the situation, but you did get at least a little payback.

I dunno. Depends what day of the week you ask me that question. It’s Saturday night so basically the answer is YES!
