Why do I have to be soooooooo awkard

Messaging this really nice woman, and it’s like I am making a doofus of myself. I dont know what to say half the time, and I self sabotage any potential mate by being weird.

I hate this. It’s no wonder people ghost me. :frowning:

Maybe you are forcing the conversation. I’m sure she will let you know if she wants to chat.

I got ghosted too. I dunno why exactly but possibly cos I was too clingy and annoying idk though. Or cos I was embarrassing. Or awkward. Or just not their type. Or all of the above.
So I can’t really give advice.
But I wish u perseverance with it!

Edit.
Or all of the above and more things.

Tbh I think ghosting is rude though

I have the same problem. If you figure out a solution let me know.

I’m looking hard for a solution! I’ll keep you updated!

Fortunately it looks like I got lucky this time, because she wants to meet me for some reason.

She says shes awkward too. :grimacing:

That’s good news. It means there might be a way out.

Some women are just very tolerant and patient and if they like something about you they might just give you a chance whether you are shy or awkward or both.

You’re right. Shes seemingly accepting of my quirks. She knows about my sza, my fear of driving on the highways, that I’m on a leave of absence at work, and that I still live with the folks.

I must have made an impression somewhere between that immense pile of crap.

I have a first date with someone on Wednesday, that’s where the real awkwardness starts.

Good luck! I hope it goes well!

For some reason, most of the time, I do a lot better in person. It’s like I’m wittier and natural when I cant over think what I want to say.
