It should be a person’s own choice
Because it’s one of the dumbest choices you can make.
Not when you’re a danger to others, threatening them, and have lost insight.

I’m not like that anymore
It’s not a choice when you’re not of sound mind and have exhibited certain behaviours such as death threats. It will be a while before you’re trusted again and the more you resist it the longer it will take.
