Who wins the Iowa caucus tonight?

It is fun. This precinct is big enough to be chaotic, though. I like the smaller ones where you can get the full circus, people supporting different candidates trying to sway you away, all that. But this is fun.

Excellent reporting @Rhubot…

I think you missed your calling. I felt like I was in the room with all of you!

“Rounding,” mutters my Hillary-supporting roommate on the way home. :smile_cat: :smile_cat: :smile_cat:

Bernie is currently only 1% from winning Iowa

Gap is narrowing.

It’s coming down to the wire. I’m torn though, as I prefer Bernie, but I’m not sure he can win in a general election. Not sure who I want to win Iowa now.

I wish O’Malley wasn’t involved; what a waste of time.

I think that the states Bernie is most likely to win are Iowa and NH, honestly. I’m not really doubting that Hillary is going to end up with the nomination. I think this keeps her honest, though - Democrats have a history of pandering to more center-right Republicans. The trend doesn’t go the other way.

Having such a strong leftist turnout will probably serve to keep her on the path.

I hate Hillary so much. She strikes me as extremely dishonest, and it feels like she’s a democratic Jeb bush, she just wants to be president

I keep trying to gauge by the demographics of the outstanding counties. Blackhawk, Johnson, Scott, Cedar, Des Moines, Boone are all more populated counties with a lot of votes left to come in, mainly leaning towards Bernie. But a lot of the others, I have no idea.

IMO, she has been around a long time and understands how the game is played. I don’t view her as dishonest as much as I do pragmatic. But I know there are a lot of people out there who would agree with you.

No matter what happens O’Malley will have played a big part in the contest.

Yeah, and my point is that we’re not playing a game here. You don’t run for president for the novelty of winning.

I think they are both very serious about becoming President.

It doesn’t seem like she has a real goal as a candidate, either. She just spouts out whatever sounds good.

Would I prefer someone other than Clinton? Sure, she’s not my dream candidate. I will most likely be voting against someone on the other side.

I really like Bernie, a lot of his ideas are actually things that are standard practice in most other countries. We need somebody to bring us up to speed with modern legislation.
