Who wins the Iowa caucus tonight?

I found my people! There are plenty of us, it’s cool :smile_cat:

Nope, I’m loving it! I’m watching the crowds on tv.

They cut off the line about 10 minutes ago. If you hadn’t made it inside by then, you’re out of luck.

Hah, my roommate just emerged. She was briefly on the news. “couldn’t be avoided, they were right behind me.”

I’m watching Iowa City and Des Moines on tv and both are absolutely packed. They are saying on MSNBC that the entrance polls are showing record numbers on the Republican side. They haven’t said anything yet about Democrats, but I bet it will smash Obama’s record as well.

This is way beyond the others I’ve been to. Just crazy!

Recycled paper :pouting_cat: sorry, I’m having a blast. My roommate says she’ll change her vote to Bernie if it means she doesn’t need to give up her seat. She stole her chair from the O’Malley part of the room.

We just elected a permanent secretary and a permanent chair. 431 people here. In order for a candidate to be viable, they need to have 15%, or 65 voters, in their group.

We’ve nominated Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and Martin O’Malley for president.

We’re dividing into preference groups and nominating chairs for each group.

Waiting on the total count of voters. I was 171 of the Bernie supporters, I estimate about 20 or so behind me. Hillary’s group looked bigger. Not sure how many O’Malley supporters.

Hillary 223
Bernie 189
O’Malley 18

O’Malley doesn’t have viability, so those voters are realigning with Hillary or Bernie, or going home. We’ll have another count after they’re done.

We’re cheering as O’Malley supporters join up with us. One guy is raising their hands up like they’re boxing champs.

I was sitting next to the 100 year old gentleman. It’s his 3rd caucus. He gets a kick out if them.

I think that 100 year old guy is senile.

I just heard reports that the speaker just asked, “Okay. Who voted for the Wright brothers??”
