and on what dosage are you? i have terrible akathisia and probably will go back on zyprexa. who here likes it? i can controll my eating,its not such a problem unless i put kilos on zyprexa without eating…
When I was on Zyprexa I was always in a mild depression. I was dysphoric. I craved sugar too. It did alleviate some of my anxiety. I was too sleepy to be anxious. Zyprexa is also known to give people diabetes. I wouldn’t take it again because of that.
and it worked for your derealization? it cleared your mind? i have the colors too bright on haldol also per moments,its really hard cause i stare at the ceiling if its clean and i am paranoid in these moments…

thanks loke but probably the sedation is more prone to disapear than akathisia :/… the thing that i expect from an ap is that it clears my mind. its happening with haldol but i am not sure if i’ll handle the urge need to pace…
@Anna1. I also have light akathisia not enough to talk to the Dr about really. I take 300mg of clozaril daily.
oh,ok,i see. mine is not light but i am not sure if its the med. i really wanna keep haldol,i find it fine if its not the akathisia. one friend of mine who is nurse in psychiatry told me that it could be me and not the med…tomorrow is sunday,i cant really talk to my doc,…now i am calm,i ve shouldnt take the benzo that i took just to see if the akathisia would have been persisted…

i put 25 kilos for 8 months on zyprexa but i was complaining a lot at the time. now i am more desperate to always switch meds…
I would say it did work on my derealization.
and for your emotions? the fact that i dont feel love anymore, even for my mom? it can help me?
I feel emotions on zyprexa. It also has a nice calming effect similar to a benzo which is bonus. Works well on my delusional thinking. I take 7.5 mg and have little to no weight gain. I also sleep well, about 12 hours a day. On the other hand it does dull down my creativity, sexuality and high level thinking but I’m okay with that for a few years until a better medication comes along.
I don’t really know how to answer that. The med’s can affect people differently, but I’m getting the feeling that Zyprexa could help you with your emotions by stopping your derealization.

Yes many drugs for sz do cause akathisia. I gained 100 pounds on clozaril.

I put 5st on Olanzapine (Zyprexa) 15mg at night and sleep a fair bit on it!
You might find it boosts your appetite and apparently makes you crave sugar.
Zyprexa worked for a few months but then it petered out and started to make me extremely ill, it can wreak havok with your blood sugar and give you diabetes, I can’t take it anymore without it making me ill.
if i dont eat sugar i can devellop diabetes even without it on zyprexa?
