I found out that I have Mysophonia, which is selective noise over-sensitivity syndrome. I suffer from hearing small selective noise like eating noise of someone or dropping a pen in a quiet library. This syndrome can make you over-sensitive or your heartbeat could go high to the repetitive small noise. Anyways I guess this is why some people can work better in a cafe rather than a library, with some white noise. Today I downloaded Relaxmelodies app, which provides white noise that I can listen to and I think I figured out the solution to study longer in a library.(until this time I couldn’t stay a bit in there with unknown reasons.)
I listen to rainstorm on Alexa/Echo, every night of late.
White noise scares me. I like thunder and rain sounds. I also have mysophonia. My mom continues to eat with her mouth open. I tell her how disgusting it sounds, but she won’t listen.
My parents do that too. But people seem to not understand why we respond to those noise oversensitively. But these small noise are heard magnified to us and we cannot but stay obsessed with those sounds. Anyways this could be a lot of stress to people who have mysophonia…
Sounds like you have autism spectrum. Sensitive to sounds is a spectrum of autism. My niece has autism and she can hear a pin drop.
I have downloaded Noise Generator from Google play. It has white, pink, blue etc. noises
White noise messes me up. I keep the tv on
