I have trouble thinking

My mind feels like numb instead of being sharp

Which mental illness is this?

I doubt if it’s schizophrenia

That is definitely a part of sz/sza. Not on it’s own but with other symptoms

My brain feels dull or bloated

It’s very hard to describe but I am doing my best

When I first met my pdoc 12 years ago the first diagnosis he gave me was that personality disorder

@Om_Sadasiva so if I had personality disorder which he initially thought then why did he tag me as sz after?

The symptoms you describe sound like the negative symptoms of schizophrenia, but if you don’t have positive symptoms (i.e. psychosis), I wouldn’t be in a hurry to get that diagnosis.

So it’s still some sort of sz?

If I have to sum up how I feel about my mental illness it’s I have trouble in thinking normally, other than that I have no issues. There’s definitely something wrong with my brain that much I can tell but I don’t know what it is
