Which antipsychotic goes well with clozapine?

I’m taking clozapine 225mg and I still have delusions(positive symptoms).

I can’t increase clozapine due to adverse effects(bedwetting, postural hypotension, myoclonic jerks) and my qtc interval is high as well on clozapine.

Please suggest another antipsychotic which i can add to clozapine apart from aripiprazole and risperidone to control my delusions

Have you tried Latuda (Lurasidone)? It shouldn’t mess with QTC or postural hypotension as much as other drugs, if any impact at all.
I’ve always thought that Fluanxol (Flupentixol) would work well with Clozapine, but I really have no idea.

I had a pdoc once say amisulpride complements clozapine well. But I don’t know the facts behind that statement

I start crying after taking abilify(aripiprazole) and risperidone

You are right jim, i took amisulpride for few days and i quit it too early due to abnormal heart beats and breathlessness. I want to try it again. Sadly amisulpride is worse when it comes to qtc prolongation. It increases qtc in dose dependent fashion

I can relate. When I was on abilify I didn’t sleep the whole time. I begged to stop taking it.

Just thought the article might be interesting.

Well i’m currently on Ziprasidone with my Clozapine, but my pdoc is going to titrate me off of it. I’m lucky i guess, i don’t have any real negative side effects from the Clozapine (except drooling), so as my Ziprasidone goes down, the Clozapine can go up.

However, i wouldn’t recommend Ziprasidone with Clozapine, as Ziprasidone can cause similar prolonged QT-intervals. Speak to you pdoc, they’d know what best to put you on.
