Flies don’t live long enough for it to be much of a problem. During the night, as do many insects, they cling to the underside of leaves, etc, until dawn and the rising air temperature brings them up to full activity.

Do flies ever get tired of flying?
According to the University of Kentucky, flies can fly for around 1 or 2 miles and in some cases further but this would probably involve very few flies and be in a unique set of circumstances. It would appear that flies have an average speed of 5mph but can get up to 15mph if threatened.
