When You Were Unwell

When You Were Unwell

That’s when I met you
You were little and lost
I called to you to come over
And you wandered away

I followed you downtown
Caught up to you in a crowd
Tried to rescue you from the mayhem
But you snapped at my hand

I tended my own wounds
At which you enraged
You hissed and spit
Then you stormed away

Now here it is later
You come back around
You’re healthy and want me to trust you
But I can’t forget

Beautiful poem. Very sad, but in a good way.

You still have feelings for your ex-husband. Remember, you divorced the guy for a reason.

This isn’t about my ex. But I do still love the guy, always will, just not as a husband anymore.
