My mom always made my sister and I lunch.
It was really nice and I know took a lot of effort on her part,
I appreciate that now.

It was the seventies and I was in primary school. It was always honey or jam sandwiches and a brown squishy banana. Mum never checked my school bag and it would stay in my bag until mould formed and the smell was rank.
When I became responsible for my own lunch I used to buy a white bread roll and fill it with cheese Twisties.
For recess I would have jam sandwiches. For lunch it was another sandwich with a (mostly melted) frozen poppa and a piece of fruit.
The jam sandwiches were a hit at recess. Even though they had been sitting in my bag in the heat for a few hours. Still they were pretty popular. This was in the eighties.
Mom always made me one slice of bologna between two slices of white bread with the crust edges cut off, a twinkie, sliced and cored apple, and chocolate milk in a thermos. I loved that lunch and ate it every day in my lunchbox for years.
My Mom would make jam sandwiches or tuna sandwiches on pita bread sometimes.
With a fruit like an apple or banana I remember.
God bless my Mom.
Some days I would eat school lunches.
I never ate the school lunch. It looked so disgusting to me. When I was in high school. I would go to the vending machines and load up on junk. Pop and m&ms or potato chips. I dont think they offer such junk to kids anymore in school. Looking back I sure wished they had a salad bar.
Either school lunch or nothing.
Usually just bread with some sort of bologna or cheese on it, nothing fancy.
It’s so long ago I can’t remember . All I vaguely remember is having a lunch box that might have had the Flintstones on it.
I was vegan in high school so I mostly ate uncrustables or salads
I vaguely remember owning a Evil Knievel lunch box.
Sometimes a Peruvian styled burger on other days when my Mother didn’t feel like cooking, I’d just get leftover pizza. Sometimes if I was lucky I’d get green chicken and rice.
I ate the school lunch.
My schooltime was over by lunchtime. I had breakfast and lunch at home.
