When psychotic mood disorders aren't taken seriously

Hi, I have psychotic depression. I don’t qualify for sza because of my frequent remissions.

Does anyone here with psychotic MDD ever feel like their psychiatrist doesn’t take them seriously because of your frequent remission(s)?

I’ve been on remission for 3-4 months (again- but not quitting my meds, they’re lifesavers) but in the meantime depression has been hitting my face. Having psychotic depression means that you’re more mood disorder-dependent and not psychosis-dependent. When psychosis happens, it’s usually brutal but doesn’t land me to the hospital. But the doctor has been disregarding my symptoms as non-serious.

Does anyone feel like your doctor isn’t doing their job?
