What's the most valuable/useful life skill you have?

What life skill you’ve obtained, had benefit you the most?

For an example, I’ve learnt to “cook soup on a nail”, meaning I can create something edible out of very limited ingredients.

I’ve also learnt to penny-pinch.
I suck at maths, but I’ve gotten good at finding discounts and which items get the best value.
If I can save a significant amount by shopping at different stores, depending on what is on sale where, I’ll gladly do that.

I’m good at people IRL.

Call it what you will,

But I’m able to manipulate to get my way with amazing ease.

I try to use my power for good most of the time.

I can pick up almost any skill. I am not a master of them, but I can do many things, like repairs and DIY stuff. It doesn’t take me long to figure stuff out.

I seem to be good at solving practical problems. I can usually turn a bad situation around.

I don’t know that it’s a skill, but I’m nice. I value kindness very much. I can be nice when others would be angry.

Listening to other’s. It’s very therapeutic but can become draining. Either way it’s a quality to have.
I can’t go over n over my brain otherwise it’s gonna pop!!
I’m schizophrenic, not a muppet , even if I have an episode at least it’s a step forward. If it’s once a month it’s twelve days of the year

I have excelled at the skill of listening. You’d be surprised of all the dirt you can find on people just by listening.

My other skill is keeping my relative cool in the face of shitty people.

Man I wish I had that last skill you mentioned.
When people act like whiny toddlers or "the K word"s, I treat them as such.
I feel crappy for it, but I have no patience for people who make mountains out of molehills, or huff and puff to get their way.

I can keep calm when others would lose their temper. I just breathe deeply and remind myself not to take it (too) personal.

Well, this isn’t a 100% true all the time but I usually don’t give up. I was extremely psychotic the first two years of my disease but I pulled through and eventually got a job and went to college and now 40 years later I’m still working and need two classes for my degree. And a lot of sh*t has happened over the years but as AA says, “ I always suit up and show up.”

My ability to maintain peace of mind when approached by the fear of anxiety…I can do most anything now…still trying to be able to play in public.

I can read music.

I can read the written word. No small feat for a drug addict who never went past the eighth grade. That was the hardest thing I ever learned. I learned how to read music playing guitar with a book in a month in the key of C and G, first position on the fretboard but I was young which might account for the speed I gained the knowledge.

I guess being blessed with being able to find a way to survive so far.

Worked in restaurants for a long time so learning to cook is useful.

Teaching myself about computers and getting certified is useful. I can provide my own tech support, and make some money helping others.
