It can be lovestorys, career choices, anything.
Nothing to small.
Probably my perfect grades in school and university degree.
Failing to get my degree in university but then going on to have the career I wanted anyway.
Okay thats something to be proud off.
One door closes another opens
On behalf of a former beneficiary in my caseload at Social Services I filed a fair hearing and represented him during the trial to get him back pay for benefits that had been illegally withheld from him that I had personal knowledge of. We won the hearing and he got enough money to buy a new reliable vehicle for his family.
Good good fifteen
I’m proud that I tried college and earned an accounting diploma.
FINALLY cleaning my apartment, in time for inspection.
I just wrecked a potential friend because of my big mouth.
This is a good thing tho. Because the girl I was just talking to is a nurse, but has NFC about mental health.
I told her this:
“Thanks. My probs are mental health. Not you’re field, but perhaps you deal with them at work. Idk…. People get weird about talking about them. which just makes them more difficult to deal with really. Sometimes Even health care workers don’t understand mental health. It can be bad. Anyway, I guess everyone has their cause and mental health awareness is mine. Thanks for reading my essay.”
I’m for real going to get all 7 billion people on earth on board with this mental health awareness thing before i die.
I got a 94 in anatomy and physiology last Semester. Worked really hard for it.
I honestly can’t think of anything significant.
The ability to put on a happy face around others when I am dying on the inside.
I saved a boy from dropping to his death in college…he was just hanging off a balcony of concrete on one of the buildings on campus…he didn’t know he would’ve lost his strength eventually to pull himself back up and he got mad when I lifted him off the balcony rail and scolded him I was going to tell his mother but he jumped on his bike and rode off…
I saved another boy from a bad ex husband kidnapping the boy and fleeing to another state…I took out a loan for my then girlfriend and the powers that be got her son back…
I got my nami cert and found it still intact. I never thought much of it, but it does represent my hard work and my increased knowledge of mental illness. My parents went too and found it helpful.
Getting clean and sober, getting a job and going back to school in my thirties.
And giving a 15 minute talk in front of a 100 other addicts at a CA meeting.
And being best man at my dads wedding to my step-mom.
Raised my kids. They are all amazing people!
Helped create two of the most amazing humans to ever live.
Was considered a warrior in the best army to ever exist.
Saved a dog from getting hit by a car.
