Whats good to eat?

just wondering what you all like to eat?

i eat very unhealthy food and have had to fight off an ulcer once,

but what foods are good for you and what bad?

what do you like?

I’m a sucker for Salmon and noodles. You can always get my interest with that. I also like veggies and noodles. Noodle soup, chicken and noodles… darn, I have to cut down on the starch.

I also like apples, berries and nuts. My sis got me hooked on frozen grapes.


My favorite dish is haluski. It’s a Polish dish and is noodles, cabbage, and lots of butter. I also like hoagies, particularly roast beef or Italian. The nutritionist my mom and I see wants us to eat grains, like quinoa, and greens, like kale, every day. I have to get back into that habit. The grains balance your blood sugar and the greens have tons of vitamins. My mom and I have been trying to eat only organic and no processed foods. :sunny:

I have my eye on a bag of little sour dough slices to make garlic toast from. Garlic is good for you.

whey protein, carbohydrate powder, anabolic steroids, creatine, BCAA’s, testosterone pills, viagra, snuff

but seriously I eat whey in my milk and shredded wheat, noodles, whey and carb powder for training, then meat and carbs and vegetables for dinner.

Too much fiber is very bad for me. Accidents in my pants while lifting weights. Serious problem actually.

I cut up some carrots, cauliflower, onion, fresh corn and threw that in the rice cooker, with rice of course, then cut up small strips of chicken and cooked it in a pan on the stove. Add the two together, yummy.

Usually we cook up in one pan, chicken, onion garlic, onion, carrots, fresh corn, celery, potato, tomato, Italian squash, then let it simmer until cooked. Then heat up a dozen corn tortillas, fill and eat.

I made homemade veggie burgers over the weekend and oh man are they good!

Next venture is spinach and cheese “hot pockets”.

Fish, especially salmon…lots of healthy spices like garlic, turmeric, onion, red pepper.
Nuts, especial almonds, fruits…
If I make pancakes which is maybe once a week i use whole wheat flour, oatmeal, add banana, avocado, crushed almonds, berries, and dark chocolate chips.

Lots of fiber which is mainly bran cereals and beans which I make in chili and rice with ground turkey instead of beef, or just make veggie chili.
Vitaminwaters with the B vitamins, 100% juice instead of that juice cocktail stuff that is mainly sugar or corn syrup.

Olive Oil (EVOO) instead of cheap vegetable oil…


Samosas are so good! Yum!

Pasta and especially lasagne!

I made that today…pasta noodles - the colored ones made out of spinach, carrots and beets…the sauce had fresh onion, garlic and jalapenos in it, and I used ground turkey for the meatballs.

The good: Chicken and broccoli stir fry (in olive oil) and rice. Tuna sandwich. Salad. Turkey sandwich. Water.

The bad: Carne asada frys. Bacon burgers. Soda. Well, pretty much any fast food place. Pizza. Corn dogs. Hot pockets. Processed TV dinners.

The ugly: …I don’t eat ugly things.


Anyone tried a bowl of oatmeal with fresh pineapple cut into small bites mixed in? Very delicious.

Well, um…Octopus is sorta ugly and I’ll get that sometimes…
Some people say “Ew” but hey, I like the taste…

And I’ve occasionally bought Squid for calamari that look like this…I mean seriously they look like condoms…LOL…ew, but Calamari is good too…
