@thebest buy fresh vegetables you like. Carrots wash them and store them in a tupperware so you can snack on them during the week. Add cucumber
to your sandwiches. Add onions, lettuce and tomato
to your burger
@TheBest. You can also put your dressing in a bowl on the side and dip your salad in a little dip saves calories
So much advice. Thanks everyone. Still not sure what I’m gona do though. I gota think about it.
@mermaid1. Jerry Seinfelds wife wrote a book about sneaking veggies into food. I.e. You can purée boiled cauliflower and put it in your mashed potatoes. Kids like mashed potatoes. My daughter’s 20 now so I can’t force her to eat veggies now. She was a real hard headed kid.
I didn’t and don’t! it’s a texture thing. I hate the mushy…
Buy vegetables and eat them.
I’ve stopped buying them. Not sure what to buy.
V8 is a good way, I used to hate it but now I love it!
Find vegetable recipes on the Internet. Knowing alot of different ways to eat vegetables helps.
please don’t talk about food anymore…I am very hungry for vegetables…haha
Do you have a Farmers market near you? How about growing your own in the backyard? Buy lots of seasonal fruit and vegetables and freeze some. Seasonal fruits and vegetables are usually cheaper. Buy lots of fruit and vegetables on sale and freeze the excess to always have a supply on hand. Shop sales and check out circulars or grocery store ads for the best deals.
Buy your favorite vegetables. What kind of stores are near you? Why have you stopped buying them? Maybe you should branch out in your tastes and try vegetables that you have never tried before. You might find something new that you like to eat.
Do you have markets near you that deliver to your home? Safeway and Walmart deliver and it’s a lot easier to shop online because everything on their website is organized and you can peruse the whole vegetable selection online in a few minutes and see all the sales easily compared to going to a store in person and having to push a cart through a big vegetable and fruit displays.
And I used to buy three weeks of groceries online including fresh vegetables and I used to get my daily vegetables by making “scrambles”. I would buy vegetables like onions, asparagus, bell peppers, hot peppers, mushrooms etc and chop them up and fry them and add chopped meat and throw in a few eggs and have a great healthy breakfast lunch or dinner and if I made a large amount at once I would have two or three meals.
Check out canned and frozen and fresh vegetables and compare for the best prices.
Yes, this is a great answer. Certain dishes can make vegetables more palatable. You may not like onions or bell peppers by themselves but cook them up with some meat or spices and herbs and they will taste better.
Excellent suggestion @77nick77. I was a little worried because I saw you writing for a couple minutes I was 50/50 on whether you were going to tear me apart or suggest something. A King Soopers is within walking distance that’s where I normally go. I live in an apartment and don’t know of any Farmers markets. I do have some frozen vegetables I might cook.
I stopped buying them because I eat them in an unhealthy way. I will look into buying them online. I just might chop some vegetables up and mix them with eggs. The only meat I eat is Tuna. Thanks man.
I’ve just started using these, and they make raw vegetables like kale and carrots easier to eat and better tasting. Doesn’t hurt if you put some sauce on the side or fill them with a bit of sauteed onion.
I probably would have never come up with something like that myself. Thanks @Coldcomfort
Who did you have the further analysis with @labratmat ?
I paid x code to do it. The reports were pretty good, easy to read and helpful.
My man i wish you would take a shower im worried about you
@firemonkey I got 7 reports for $99 and that included personalised medicine, mhtr, fitness, nutrition, allergies, skin and health reports.
The personalised medicine could have been better, but it states it is for a professional healthcare to decipher.
23andme and xcode both stated I wasn’t very likely to have a photic sneeze, but I do.
Funnily enough although it says to significantly increase B12 Self decode says I have above average absorption levels.Self decode says I need high levels of choline and have low sodium levels in the blood(I’m a saltaholic!).Self decode says I have high vit a levels.
Genticoncept says lower levels of b6,
Conclusion : You have a higher transformation of beta-carotene to vitamin A. Therefore, you may have a increased level of vitamin A in your blood
lower blood vitamin C levels
Decreased vitamin E levels (alpha-tocopherol-)
Higher levels of B12
