What was your favorite Christmas present ever

I got my tiny Thumbelina doll when I was 6. When I was 8, my half brother broke the wind up mechanism in the back, that made her move.

Haha! When my son was about 4 years old, He Man was his favorite show. So cute! I got him a He Man set for Christmas that year. Howd it go? By the power of grayskull!!! My son used to run around the house saying that, sword in hand. Lol.

I got my first guitar when I was 13. It didn’t play very well but I used it a lot.

One Christmas, when I was around 7 years old, my grandpa gave me $100 as a gift.

Well, $100 to a seven year-old is basically the equivalent of like a bajillion dollars (and it’s still a good amount of cash to this day ).

My aunt and uncle took me to Toys R Us for a shopping spree— I could spend those $100 on anything I wanted!

I just remember a little Schztuna running up and down the aisles going ham, to be honest, haha .

It was a big deal as my parents had divorced a year earlier, and it was hard times living with just my mom, who was a single parent and working hard to make ends meet for the both of us .

Good times and thank you grandpa! :dizzy:

I spent a lot of time envying the kids with married parents in a home that was obviously more stable than mine.

Xbox live & a headset for original Xbox

My introduction to online gaming on consoles

Had played some games on PC, but very limited. Just bootleg versions of Age of Empires and Command and Conquer

Best RTS games in my opinion are tied with Starcraft 2 & Battle for Middle Earth 2

I once got some BATTLE STAR GALACTIC toys in about 1980. That was before the reboot of the season which was excellent.

A pile of sand to play in (a truckload pile of sand, 15 feet high when first piled up.)
And then the GameCube
The days of Kirby Air ride and SSBM on a old pixilated TV that was huge, I think it was 6-7 foot across. (Imagine you would have to move the thing on a forklift, parents got it off a Well to be client when they upgraded to digital screens.)
