Can someone play Simple Minds’ ‘See the lights’ for me.

I bought their album on cassette to drive and hear they’re largest hit cause I’m a cheeseball maybe BUT the aforementioned quickly became my favorite!

‘If you see the light shine in front of me; If you see the light, shout out where you be’.

Maybe it’s too abstract of a point to try and make but my life is littered with people who want Quid Pro Quo’s in talking! Like trading info… this song takes me, with these lyrics, back before that life felt like this. What ever happened to giving and trusting that you’ll get something given back you know?

That could be a big FAIL of mine… too abstract toward the end.

But just try the tune if any of that helped add context.

I think that’s why older people can’t discover new music… there are less times laughing at lyrics together or singing along… its context.

Do you know this one? It may have been their greatest hits but frankly I don’t think they had so many ‘hits’. To me it’s still a ‘deep track’. Lol
