What should my goals be for

I have a peer support specialist who talks to me and takes me out. What should my goals with her be? I see my case manager soon and I need to have my peer support goals ready to put in my chart

Something that would be one of my goals.

The ability to go out and be social without peer support with me.

Ultimately be able to go out and do what I was interested in on my own, be able to be my own social encouragement.

What kinds of things do you two do?

@Ooorgle Walk a nature trail, and sit at the Coney Island and talk. Or hang at my house and talk

Isolate a lot? I used to do that.

Have you thought about trying to use her as kind of a friend wing woman?

I’m imagining finding a hobby and social situation you two could go to that would help you make more connections than just your peer.

That’s smart @Ooorgle. I’ll try to think of something too

Can you pick the times you hang out with them?

You might be able to find a Meetup.com hobby to go to with her, meet some other people and start feeling comfortable going by yourself.

Wishing you well!

Thanks @Ooorgle. No I can’t pick the times. She works full time as a peer. We schedule a month in advance and it’s a weekday afternoon. But I’m sure there’s something we could do. I’ll have to think about what I’m willing to do too.

Any chores you have problems getting the motivation to do that they could help encourage you with?

@LED Yes. I don’t like cleaning the floors. I only do it once a month or if something drops on the floor. That’s inexcusable. I feel like such a jerk. I do laundry, the bathroom, dishes, but the floors not as often.

I got a steam mop and that makes cleaning my floors a lot easier for me. I still don’t do it as often as I probably should, though.

I’ll have to check that out. Maybe I should do one room’s floor per day
