What should I learn how to cook?

I just made my vegetables for the week and I was thinking I want to do more. Really all I use my stove for is vegetables and eggs. I need something more to do. I am a vegetarian as well. I don’t think I could afford a ton of ingredients. So something basic that’s only a couple of ingredients that’s vegetarian. I can ask a family member to help me figure it out. I know there are some great cooks out there. Thanks.

Chow mein is really a really good/simple dish to make! That’s what I’m making for lunch. Mmmm. I’ve used a few different recipes depending on what I have/want. Today I’m making a copycat recipe for Panda Express.

I just cook whatever chopped vegetables I like in oil then add some soy sauce and serve with rice if you like.

Do simple things, soups with beans, pasta/rice/couscous with veggies and eggs (if you want superior taste when everything is cooked put it in a pan and fry it with salt and olive oil).

How about a nice vegetarian lasagna or moussaka?

Once I lose a lot more weight I will probably try a lot of this stuff. I’m really trying to stay away from carbs now though.

Make a bolognese

I like stir fry.

I was just watching a youtube cook, who says I need to raise my game in the kitchen. that I shouldn’t just be making salads all the time and that I should explore indian dishes, if you’re vegetarian.

doubtful this will happen, I hate to spend all day in the kitchen. its definitely salads for me. quick and easy

You can fry eggplant if you know how to dip in buttermilk and then roll in self rising flour. It’s something my mom just taught me about perfect frying crust …try it you won’t be sorry…once you get a big plate of fried eggplant layer with lasagna noodles, marinara, raw spinich, ricotta cheese and then final layer sliced mozarella cheese…bake in casserole dish at 350 degrees for thirty minutes…voila…perfect vegetarian lasagna !!
