I worked 44 hours at a job recently, I was told by a co-worker that I should get my direct deposit pay at midnight Thursday. Well I just woke up from a sleep and checked my bank account and I didn’t receive my money. Maybe my co-worker meant 12 pm and not 12 am? Should I give it more time to go into my account? It’s currently 1:21 am here and I haven’t received sh*t. They fired me after I worked 44 hours. Am I over exaggerating or should I be prepared to take legal action against them for not paying me?
Some banks don’t register until 2am, I would wait and see before you panic. If you don’t get it by 2am then plan to call them first thing in the morning and see where you effing money is. They should have paid you like within 3 days of the last day you worked as far as I’m concerned. That would have given them plenty of time to get the deposit squared away.
I’m scared they’re going to fu*k me over and not pay me
they’re going to pay you
I hope you’re right
five more minutes and then you can check again
I just checked and it’s not in. I’m panicking @Leaf
Oh crap! Ok. Just call them in the morning and see what the problem is. I’m sure it’s just a clerical error. These girls that work in payroll make mistakes all the time. They could have typed the account number in wrong or something simple like that. Don’t panic.
Thanks @Leaf
