What peeves you

I get peeved by the phrase, “It is what it is.” Especially those who say it often. It rarely brings anything new to the table and comes off as somewhat arrogant in many cases.

I hear you. My dad is always saying It is what it Is. I think he means well but it’s a tired cliche. And I think it implies aggressive resignation rather than a person adopting a peaceful resistance in the face of adversity.
