what could i be learning
I’m reading a book called “psychology, mental health and distress”. I’m in the second chapter, which is about the history of mental health: the asylums, the madhouses act, eugenics (which tried to kill the mentally ill). It’s all very mentally disturbing (our history). At least we’re doing better now than in Bedlam where people payed to see the chained mentally ill. Psychiatry has quite a history. Not something to be proud of.
Buy some self-therapy workbooks from Amazon. They’re quite helpful.
