I thought drinking and doing drugs was cool and in my late twenties I spent 4 years running around like a chicken with it’s head cut off smoking crack at every opportunity and drinking beer. In 1990 I got clean and found out that being clean and sober was a lot funner and a lot cooler.

I’m great with people. I’m friendly and outgoing and get along with almost everyone; they have to be pretty bad for me to have a problem with them.

I also know a ton of stuff about dogs, from breed standards to training, nutrition, grooming, and health. I studied dogs for years. I showed in conformation and obedience, made my own dog food, groomed for rescues and friends, fostered breeds from Great Danes to toy poodles, played midwife to mama doggies then raised the puppies, and cared for dogs with a variety of medical conditions. After about five years of general rescue, I started specializing in deaf and/or blind dogs- training and rehabilitating them. I loved it.
