What kind of introvert are you?

I got ‘anxious introversion’ .

You are consumed with a fear of failure. When you are with groups of people, you spend a lot of time worrying about ways you could make a bad impression.

Doing the paper test I scored higher for anxious but also high for social.

Social introvert…

It says that social introversion is really just “low enthusiasm” (part of the extraversion domain), but it may be true, I often feel like a wet blanket, that some part of me is just impossible to get excited.

Interesting that you’re all coming up as ‘social introverts’.

Judging by the MMPI definition it would also apply to me quite well. I scored 85 for social introversion( I think it was Mortimer who posted a site with the online MMPI to do and score)

  1. Social Introversion (Si) – The Social Introversion scale measures the social introversion and extroversion of a person. A person who is a social introvert is uncomfortable in social interactions and typically withdraws from such interactions whenever possible. They may have limited social skills, or simply prefer to be alone or with a small group of friends. This scale has 69 items.

There are only four so not that much of a coincidence.

If they were distributed evenly here I would expect a 25-25-25-25 split.

(I needed a 40 question quizz to tell me this?)

This is a fantastic explanation of how I think

social introvert - it’s my life

You spend a lot of time by yourself—and you’re completely okay with that. You are happy with the small group of friends that you have and you avoid large crowds like the plague.

I got social introvert, a bit strange.

social introvert

99% of the time on my own. I think the main driver for company for me is avoiding boredom but a lot of interaction is hard going and I am always wary of people getting too close. To have a small group of 1-3 friends in a platonic sense would be ideal. As for crowds, I’ll venture into them if i have to but prefer not to.

hey,

I’m the extroverted one! I like to talk and I think it’s a great thing for our disorder!

I’m from an Australian/Irish/German family and it’s the German side with the schizophrenia which I find fascinating.

In the meantime I’m talking, Politiciing and just doing!

I think it’s immensely important that schizophrenics have to talk and dealing with social situations and building plans for them leads to the best possible outcomes!

Explains why third world countries have better outcomes for schizophrenics…it’s not playstation getting you well it’s talking in a familiar social environment!

1-3 friends sounds good. I have a few relatives + their aquaintances that I talk to. Even with them I have to recover until I’m put back together.

Like Humpty Dumpty -

I am social introvert, but as all introverted people I like my loneliness, being alone is just ok with me.
