lots of knowledge required to be pro angler i would imagine. and knowing the good spots to catch a fish and what bait and equipment to use. and then it still requires some luck.

If you ever get the chance try halibut or deep sea fishing. Best time of my life.
Hmm? I’d say skill more than anything. Luck maybe but eventually every gambler’s cards will go south.

I fished for 20 years and stopped recently. It’s a combination of skill, knowledge of seasons and nature, and some luck.
