I like Carly Simon’s song about Adulting/Parenting/The American Dream
…"You pay the grocer
You fix the toaster
You kiss the host goodbye
And you break a window
You burn a souffle
You scream a lullabye"
I can’t listen so I know it’s important, I can feel my facial muscles getting ready to do an ugly cry, but then something jams me up.
These verses are all action… and I think that’s what audiences want in their art and do a bad job at articulating that… or maybe I’m overthinking it.

I like this! It reminds me of another time.

This is one of those songs that has made me realize that, while I’ve had my own share of unrequited love for myself, there have also been some that have felt this way towards me:

That’s not bad
In terms of lyrics.
I knew a song with mary magdalene in it. So annoying I can’t find it…
I looked couldn’t find one. I seem to believe I’ve come across a song with Mary Magdalene.
Never thought about love songs much. I’m now realizing there are a lot.
This is a good example of a song I’ve heard many times and didn’t really think of it as a love song.
